This book is meant to be a keepsake that can allow the recipient to write down their family favorite recipes. It can also be a great opportunity to have your loved ones share their own recipes in their handwriting and pass down for generations to come. My great grandma had a binder with notebook paper and filled it with all of her most loved recipes. Each one was written in her own handwriting with little notes about who loved that particular recipe or when she liked to make it. When she passed, my grandma kept her binder and my aunt made copies so that we all could have her handwritten recipes! It is one of my most cherished keepsakes and I refer to it often! Fast forward a few years…I wanted to make a recipe book for my girls once they were out of house and married. I searched for the perfect book for them so that I could write the recipes down and gift it to them for Christmas, but didn’t love any that I saw. I ended up finding a binder and recipe cards and it was ok, but it just wasn’t as special as I had hoped it would be. I have been thinking about the perfect book ever since! So, here it is! A true labor of love, straight from our farmstead! I have listed the recipe books for sale in my Etsy shop (you can find the link below) and each one can be customized with your family name. I envision these being the perfect wedding shower gift for new brides…maybe something that can be passed around to the shower attendees to write their favorite recipes. Or, a Christmas gift from a grandma to her granddaughter…filled with her recipes in her own handwriting…how special would that be? The possibilities are endless!
