We didn’t always have the easy hot chocolate packets, so this mix was a staple in our cabinet. Quick, easy and so yummy! I also use this mix in my hot chocolate bombs for a really fun treat!
What you will need-Grocery List
- 2 Cups Non-Fat Dry Milk
- 2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 Cup Cocoa Powder
- Pinch of salt

How to Make Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix
- In a large mixing bowl, add 2 cups sifted non-fat dry milk, 2 cups sifted powdered sugar, 1 cup cocoa powder, pinch of salt and mix well.
- Add mix to a large ball jar or air tight storage container. This hot chocolate mix will last up to a year if stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry location.
To make a cup of hot chocolate:
- Heat 1 cup of milk or water and add 3-4 teaspoons of hot chocolate. For a more chocolatey taste, use 4 teaspoons.
- Top with your favorite mini marshmallows, whipped cream, mini chocolate chips or crushed peppermint!
