I’m not sure where I found this recipe, but I have been making it for years! Cresent rolls are a staple in our fridge just for this recipe. It’s definitely a family favorite and SO EASY! I like to call these “semi homemade” cinnamon rolls.
If you’re out stocking up on groceries, be sure to add a few crescent rolls to your cart. These mini cinnamon rolls are something your teens can make on their own and your little guys will love to help you make! They would also be the perfect thing to make to deliver to neighbors, friends or family members.
Simple Ingredients
Pictured below are your main ingredients. You can use the crescent dough sheets or the pull apart rolls. If you use the pull apart rolls, you will unroll them as a sheet instead of pulling the triangles apart. To coat the crescent roll in butter, I use spreadable butter, but you could also use margarine or soften a stick of butter, as well. Spreadable butter is one of the best inventions ever, in my book!

Follow These Easy Steps
Roll out the dough onto a sheet of parchment paper for easy clean up. Spread softened butter or margarine on the roll, then sprinkle cinnamon and spread brown sugar on top of the butter. Roll the dough into a log.

You will want to cut the log into 1-inch rolls. Each can should make about 10 mini cinnamon rolls. In our house of 5, we make two cans for 20 mini rolls.

Place the rolls into a baking dish lightly sprayed with cooking spray. I use a 9×11 baking dish for 20 rolls. Bake on 375°F for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown on top. While baking, make the buttercream icing recipe below. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle icing on top of warm cinnamon rolls and serve! Please feel free to leave us a comment after you make the mini cinnamon rolls…we would love to hear from you!

Enjoy!!
