Have you ever made hobo packs? I’ve been making

Have you ever made hobo packs? I’ve been making these since our girls were little. They have always been a family favorite! I typically use boneless pork chops, but you can make these with just about anything! They are so simple to put together, they are done in about an hour and the best part….very little mess! The full recipe is below…Give these a try and let me know what you think!

Pork Chop Hobo Packs

Boneless pork chop
Diced potatoes
Baby carrots
Seasoning of your choice (I just use seasoned salt, pepper and sea salt)
2 tablespoons butter per pack
1/2 teaspoon all purpose flour per pack
Worcestershire sauce (I like to add just a little)
2 sheets aluminum foil per pack approximately 12 in long

Preheat oven on 350. Spray one sheet of foil and place pork chop on foil and season. Top with potatoes, carrots, butter and sprinkle with flour. Fold the foil tight and add second piece to ensure a tight seal. Add packs to a baking sheet and Bake on 350 degrees for 1 hour.

We love making these easy ice cream cookie sandwic

We love making these easy ice cream cookie sandwiches and with the summer like temps hanging around, it’s the perfect time to make a batch of Oreo icecream cookie sandwiches!

I used a pint size container of Oreo Ice Cream and cut the Ice Cream into 4 equal slices. I made a batch of my Oreo chocolate chip cookies and put an icecream slice between two cookies. For best results assemble the sandwiches and place into freezer to set before serving! They are so delicious and could not be easier to make! I’ve shared my Oreo chocolate chip cookie recipe below! Be sure to save and share with a friend! Let me know if you try them!

Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 sticks unsalted butter (room temp)
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 12 cookies or so)

Preheat oven to 350. In a mixing bowl add dry ingredients and mix well. In a stand mixer or large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Add In vanilla and mix again. Slowly mix in dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips and crushed Oreos. Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop rounded dough onto a parchment lined cookie sheet 2 inches apart and bake on 350 for 10 min. Allow to cool for a couple minutes on baking sheet before moving to a cooling rack. Enjoy!!

Who doesn’t love pumpkin bread, cinnamon butter and the Gilmore Girls? Full recipes are below! 🍂🍁

Pumpkin Bread:
2 cups white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups pumpkin purée
4 eggs beaten
1 cup butter melted and cooled
1/2 cup sour cream or sourdough discard
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
Cinnamon sugar topping:
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Cinnamon Butter:

1 cup butter softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Place butter, powdered sugar, honey, cinnamon and salt in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until well combined and slightly fluffy.

Pumpkin Bread:
In a large mixing bowl, mix together sugars, pumpkin purée, melted and cooled butter, beaten eggs, sour cream (or discard) and vanilla. In a separate mixing brown, mix together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Slowly mix dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture, ensuring there are no lumps. Pour mixture evenly into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Top each loaf with cinnamon sugar topping. Bake on 350 for one hour or until a knife comes out clean from middle of bread. You can also use parchment paper in place of grease and flouring the pans. This makes for easy removal and cleanup! Serve warm with cinnamon butter…YUM! Enjoy!

This recipe is so easy, quick and good! The perfect game day snack! I like to use canned chicken (don’t knock it till you try it😉)…it makes it so simple to throw together. You can use a rotisserie chicken too! We all despise blue cheese so we substitute for Ranch and shredded cheddar Jack. Are you team blue cheese or ranch?? Save this recipe (sharing it below) for your next game day menu!

1 pkg cream cheese
2 12.5 ounce cans cooked chicken
1/2 cup @hidden.valley ranch dressing
1/2 cup shredded cheese (I like Colby Jack or cheddar Jack)
1/3 cup @franksredhot sauce

Preheat oven to 375. Put block of cream cheese in a 9x11 or 9x9 baking dish and soften in oven for 5 min. Add chicken, ranch, hot sauce and cheese to baking dish and mix together well. Bake on 375 for 20 min. Serve warm with celery sticks, tortilla chips or pita crackers (my favorite!). Enjoy!!!

Pumpkin shaped sourdough loaf!

Fall temps are hitting us early here in Indiana so it’s giving me the itch to start fall baking! I loved making these pumpkin sourdough loafs last year so thought I would share it again today!!

I used @theclevercarrot bread recipe which is one of my favorites!
🍂Here are a few tips to make the pumpkin loaf! Use baking twine to tie around the loaf to make the pumpkin look. I turned the dough out on a piece of parchment and laid out the twine across the loaf according to how you want it to look. Mine was definitely not uniform😉. Use your banneton or bowl to turn the loaf upside down to tie up your string. Don’t make it too tight! Turn it knot side down on parchment. Dust with flour and score. I just did a really easy wheat look. Bake accordingly, then remove the twine and top with a cinnamon stick! What do you think? Will you give it a try?

Be sure to share and save this caramel apple sangria recipe! Its easy to make as a mocktail too! I’m currently limiting alcohol so here’s what I’ll do instead…Just omit the vodka and replace the apple wine with sparkling apple cider.

🍎1 bottle white or apple wine of your choice (I love @oliverwinery apple pie wine) OR sparkling cider for non alcoholic option
🍎 1 cup @smirnoff kissed caramel vodka (or any caramel flavored vodka-OPTIONAL)
🍎 2 cups apple juice or apple cider
🍎 1 can @canadadrygingerale (I used zero ginger ale).
🍎 3 medium apples diced
🍎 Caramel sauce & apple slice for garnish!

Mix all ingredients in a pitcher, chill and serve in a caramel drizzled glass garnished with an apple slice! Enjoy!!

Just call me Ho-Ho😂!

I picked the name “Sugar” for my grandma name…Sug or Sugie for short. But, Bo Bo had other plans😂! Now Georgie calls me Ho Ho too…so I guess that’s my new name! 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
