This simple buffalo ranch chicken dip is sure to be a family favorite in your house, just as it in ours. Made with canned chunk white meat chicken, ranch dressing instead of the traditional blue cheese, cream cheese, shredded cheese and red hot sauce…this dip is so simple and a crowd favorite as well!

Buffalo Ranch Chicken Dip Ingredients
- Chicken-I prefer to use canned Tyson chicken which makes this such a simple recipe! You can use your own cooked chicken or rotisserie chicken as well.
- Cream Cheese
- Ranch Dressing-we prefer ranch dressing to blue cheese
- Shredded Cheese
- Franks’s Red Hot Sauce
- Celery sticks, tortilla chips or pita chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Put a block of cream cheese in a 9×11 or 9×9 baking dish and soften cream cheese for 5-10 min.
- Add chicken, ranch, red hot sauce and shredded cheese to pan of cream cheese and stir until well combined.
- Bake on 375 for 20 min.
- Serve warm with celery sticks, tortilla chips or pita chips (my favorite are the pita chips).
Variations and Serving Tips
The original buffalo chicken dip according to the Franks Red Hot sauce jar is made with blue cheese dressing and cheese. You can substitute the ranch dressing for blue cheese using the same measurements.
I find that using canned chicken works so well in this recipe, but you can also boil a couple chicken breast and shred it up or use rotisserie chicken as well.
This recipe can also be made in a crockpot for pitch-in’s and parties. Just combine all ingredients in a small crockpot and turn on low, stirring often.
