This reel was one of the very first reels I ever p This reel was one of the very first reels I ever posted on my account in 2022…and apparently it has started circulating again years later😱! Have you seen this viral candy corn and peanuts trend going around? It does taste just like a payday!

This was always a fall staple on the counter when I was growing up and now it is always on the counter in my own home! Thought I would share the original video from years ago in case you want to give it a try! If you don’t like candy corn, try it like this! You’ll probably like them better mixed with peanuts!! So good!!

Candy corn and peanuts:

🍂Candy corn (only use @brachscandy brand)
🍂Dry roasted salted peanuts (or honey roasted are great too! ) @mrpeanutofficial
🍂Mix them together in a cute pumpkin jar with a lid and eat them together and it tastes like a payday bar!

Make a batch of this yummy homemade caramel sauce for pies, cheesecakes, coffees…all your favorite holiday treats! Let me know if you give it a try! 🍂

🍂Homemade Caramel Sauce🍂
Ingredients
1 cup white granulated sugar
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons salted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

🍂Instructions
In a sauce pan add 1 cup sugar and shake the pan to level the sugar.
Add 1/3 cup water and DO NOT STIR. You won’t stir until you add the heavy cream (stirring too early can cause sauce to crystallize).
Bring sugar and water to a boil over medium heat. Boil until clear…again…DO NOT STIR!
Continue boiling on medium high heat until the mixture is caramel in color. This can take about 10 min. Be sure not to let the mixture start to scorch-adjust heat if needed.
Once caramel in color, turn off heat and immediately add 3/4 cup cream.
Add 2 tablespoons salted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir until smooth. The mixture will likely have clumps (crystal bits) in the bottom of the pan…just continue to stir until dissolved.
Pour caramel sauce into a ball jar with a lid and store in the fridge. Caramel will thicken in fridge. Just microwave or on the stove to reheat.
This is a perfect caramel sauce for ice cream, cheesecake and drinks! Enjoy!!

Welcome to week 1 of our new series “12 Weeks of H Welcome to week 1 of our new series “12 Weeks of Holiday Baking” where I’ll be sharing our favorite family holiday recipes each week! First up is Brown Sugar Cake! This is sure to become a favorite in your house too!!

Comment BAKING for the Brown Sugar Cake recipe, links to our Christmas Candy Cookbook that includes everything from last year’s candy series and the cute cakelet pan I used in the reel! Ive included the full recipe below as well!

Happy Baking!!🍁

Brown Sugar Cake:

Ingredients
1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
1 3.4oz Box Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
3 Eggs
Baker’s Joy Or Pam with Flour Spray for Bundt Pan
Powdered Sugar to sprinkle on top of cake (optional)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a bundt pan by spraying with Baker’s Joy or Pam with flour for best results in removing cake from the bundt pan. (You can grease and flour the pan, but I have found that cooking spray with flour works the best!)
In a large mixing bowl add a yellow cake mix, 3.4oz box of vanilla instant pudding mix, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 3 eggs.
Beat mixture with a hand mixer on medium speed for 2 min.
Pour mixture into prepared bundt pan and bake on 350 for approximately 1 hour or until a tooth pick comes out clean in center of cake. NOTE: if using a cakelet pan or mini Bundt pan, fill 3/4th full with batter (do not overfill) and bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool cake completely in the bundt pan before attempting to remove from the pan.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy!
